How’s Your Salvation Working For You

To my family and friends,

Don’t be deceived in to thinking that an action you took and or a baptism you made qualifies you for entrance into the Kingdom of GOD. We all need to take a few minutes to reflect on our lives to see if we are His. The word tells us in 2Co 13:5-6 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? 6 But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates. (KJV)

Is our faith man made (physical attraction when troubles arise) or is our faith a spiritual attraction where you are wholly dependant on Him and cannot live apart from Him.

Christ’s brief separation from His Father outweighed all the nails and thorns on the cross. He so desperately needed His presence as we can see in Jn 17:4-5 I have glorified thee on the earth:I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. 5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. (KJV)

I am one of these creatures that walked an isle and was baptised but was living a lie for over 30 years trying to convince myself and others that I was a Christian. But, God allowed me to see who I truly was and it wasn’t pretty. He melted me with holy fire and showed me where I was heading apart from His saving grace. At this point I began concentrating on what He thought of me instead of the world. More of my experience can be seen on Is Salvation Based On A SingleEvent.

Please take time or make time to be alone seeking Him, truly seeking Him. If we love Him like we ought, we will love Him wholly as can be seen in Deu 6:4-6 Hear, O Israel:The Lord our God is one Lord:5 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. 6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: (KJV) and Christ takes it further in Mat 22:37-39 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
(KJV)

These things are serious to me and you are near and dear to my heart and I want to see my friends and family become a part of something so precious as He has allowed me to see. Don’t be ashamed to inquire into your standings with Him. Don’t worry about how or what anyone thinks but that of our Father.

Get Thee Hence Satan

Mt 4:9-10 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

During my morning study, I was reading in Mt 4 where Jesus was lead into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. The Christian too is being lead into the wilderness to be tempted by Satan. This tempting is a purification process as well as a faith building time for the Christian in his/her life so that they might become more like Christ. But unlike the lost who will continue in Satan’s follies of worldly pleasure, the Christian is never left in the wilderness for long. Continue reading

Darkness Comes Before The Light

How often is it that we feel low and at jumping off place in our life and feel that all of the life is being sucked out of us for some reason or another. This is how God works, He places His children at the lowest point in their life to awaken them. Then throughout life, He slowly removes all of their earthly desires and needs and replaces the darkness we feel with the illuminating light of His Son. This is what is known as being saved. You see we aren’t saved until we have finished our mission, endured life’s storms, gone through many trials and tribulations and finally finished the course. This can be seen in what Paul said in 2Ti 4:7-8 “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing”. . The Husband and the Bride

Many of my friends who take time to read this post will probably think that I was pointing fingers at others and that I must think that I feel I’m a cut above them as a christian. This is far from the truth and the finger that I point was at myself in the mirror. It is a desire of mine to know more about my God and I share my posts that others might learn with me. Sleepless Night Weary With Pain

No sleep for the weary in the Gap this night
But only for a season of pain must I fight
This cross I carry is but small
For the cross you carried was so big and tall

But now I have you by my side
We walk and talk throughout the day
And it brings much joy the words you say

I shall watch and wait day by day
For that promise, it made me believe
For that joy I hear is beyond degree
Can’t wait, can’t wait to be there with thee

Til that time my works undone
And I need you more than I deserve
Forgive me Lord for I’m so weak and weary
Help me please that I may keep you near me
